Intense amber colored tequila with copper-colored hues, clean and transparent, with great brilliance and golden sparkles.

About San Matías
Casa San Matías, a Mexican tequila company established in 1886, is venturing into the metaverse by developing its first virtual blue agave field. This innovative move aims to recreate the authentic tequila-making experience using blockchain technology, allowing users to explore and participate in processes like agave harvesting (jima) and familiarize themselves with the brand's diverse offerings. Through NFTs, participants can own virtual agave plants and other elements crucial to tequila production. This initiative marks Casa San Matías as a pioneer in bridging tradition with technological advancement, promising ongoing evolution and interactive experiences within the digital realm. Dating back to 1886, Casa San Matías has passed the torch from generation to generation, and currently, Carmen Villarreal Treviño owns and operates the heritage brand at their Tepatitlan distillery, Ojo de Agua (NOM 1103). Treviño oversees more than a dozen products under varying labels including San Matías Gran Reserva (famed for its 1993 debut as the world’s first extra añejo tequila), Pueblo Viejo (blanco, reposado and añejo), Rey Sol extra añejo, San Matías Tahona (blanco, reposado and añejo), and San Matías Cristal (añejo filtered for clarity in order to produce a clear spirit that presents the complexities of an aged expression).
